Yarraville Club is one of Melbourne's leading community clubs, delivering high-quality dining experiences across our bistro, functions, events and member offerings. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen team and play a key leadership role in our culinary operations.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will assist in leading a passionate team while maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency and kitchen standards.

What You'll Be Doing

- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations

- Leading and mentoring kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service

- Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials

- Managing food preparation, service, stock control and ordering

- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and WHS standards

- Helping drive a positive and professional kitchen culture

- Ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency during busy service periods

About You

- Previous experience in a senior role





- Solid leadership and team development skills

- Experience in high-volume food service environments

- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance

- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure

- Passion for delivering outstanding food and guest experiences

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
