DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Data Governance Consultant who can design, implement, and embed practical governance capabilities across complex enterprise environments.This role combines governance expertise with solid consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will work closely with executives, business leaders, data teams, and technology stakeholders to establish governance frameworks that improve trust, transparency, compliance, and organisational capability.You will help organisations strengthen the foundations required to support contemporary data platforms, analytics programs, and AI initiatives by improving data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata management, and governance operating models.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and can confidently engage stakeholders from the boardroom through to operational teams.What You'll DoDesign and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models aligned to organisational objectivesEstablish governance structures, roles, and accountability models that improve ownership and decision-making across business and technology teamsDefine and implement data stewardship frameworks, governance forums, and operating rhythms that support sustainable governance practicesSupport organisations in improving data quality, metadata management, lineage, and information management capabilitiesDevelop governance controls and processes that enable trusted analytics, reporting, and AI adoptionFacilitate stakeholder workshops, governance councils, and working groups to drive alignment and engagementCollaborate with business, risk, compliance, legal, and technology teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded into delivery practicesSupport the implementation and adoption of governance tooling including data catalogues, metadata platforms, and lineage solutionsDevelop governance roadmaps, maturity assessments,

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For6+ years' experience in data governance, information management, data management, or consulting rolesProven experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating modelsStrong understanding of governance disciplines including data quality, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, master data, and information lifecycle managementExperience supporting enterprise data transformation, analytics, cloud, or AI initiativesFamiliarity with industry frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and related governance methodologiesExperience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Attaccama, Informatica, Microsoft Purview,



or similar technologiesStrong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business and technical audiencesAbility to balance governance requirements with practical delivery outcomesExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for executive and operational stakeholdersConsulting experience within large enterprise or regulated environments is highly regardedNice to HaveExperience supporting responsible AI, AI governance, or AI risk management initiativesExperience within financial services, government, utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, or other regulated industriesExposure to modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, or GCPCertification in DAMA, CDMP, DCAM, or related governance disciplines BenefitsWhy Intelligen?
