The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting an Operations Broking Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the insurance team while managing a portfolio of commercial clients. This hybrid role combines leadership, workflow optimisation, and hands-on broking responsibilities. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, support team performance, and deliver high-quality broking services to B2B clients.

This role will be based onsite at the Mascot office.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operational activities across the brokerage
Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering tailored insurance solutions
Build and maintain strong B2B relationships, ensuring high levels of retention and satisfaction
Develop, refine and implement efficient workflows, procedures and compliance processes
Lead and support brokers and account managers, providing guidance, training and performance oversight




Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with senior leadership on business planning, resourcing and strategic priorities
Conduct policy reviews, prepare renewals, negotiate terms and place cover

What You'll Bring
Minimum 5 years' experience in general insurance broking (commercial lines essential)
Tier 1 qualified
Strong background in commercial and B2B broking, with proven portfolio management experience
Demonstrated operations or management experience within an insurance brokerage or similar
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage competing priorities
High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
