The Recreation Bistro is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team in Fitzroy North. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a clean and organised kitchen, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a supportive team in a busy restaurant workplace.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an key role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety while assisting with general kitchen duties during service.

Key Responsibilities
Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised kitchen at all times.




Cleaning and sanitising kitchen benches, floors, and work areas.
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed.
Correctly storing deliveries and rotating stock.
Managing rubbish and recycling.
Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner services.
Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
Helping with general kitchen duties as required.

Pay: $26.44 – $45.04 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
