Connecting Families is seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker OR Assistant in Nursing (preferably) to support a 38-year-old female client in North Brisbane.
This is a casual position supporting a client with a C4 AIS B Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and complex physical, medical, and emotional needs.
The role involves providing in-home support, including personal care, manual handling, and assistance with daily living activities, while ensuring the client’s safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal care, manual handling, and daily living support
Supporting complex physical and mental health needs
Providing emotional support and meaningful engagement
Assisting with community access and promoting independence
Participating in effective shift handovers when required
Essential Requirements:
Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent)
Current Yellow Card and Blue Card
First Aid and CPR certification
Valid Australian Driver’s License and comprehensively insured vehicle
Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support or similar roles
