About the role

We're looking for an Associate Account Manager to join our client team in Logan City. This is a hybrid role. You'll work alongside our Account Manager, who is our primary client contact, and learn the ropes of account management while also supporting our Client Coordinator with day-to-day client service.

A big part of this role is budget management. You'll help our library clients make the most of every dollar by tracking their spend, forecasting, and making sure their budgets are fully and accurately spent on time.

What you'll do

Budget management
Monitor and manage client library budgets, tracking spend against annual allocations and contract values
Forecast spend and flag any under- or over-spend risks early
Manage spend across standing orders and selection profiles
Plan and coordinate end of financial year and contract-deadline spend with our Selecting and Ordering teams
Prepare regular budget reports and reconciliations for clients

Account management




Attend and contribute to client meetings, including face-to-face visits
Produce regular client reports
Support the rollout of new services
Represent Peter Pal at conferences and industry events

Client support
Respond to client enquiries by phone and email
Handle production-related enquiries (cataloguing, accessioning, processing and dispatch)
Train clients on our ClientWeb platform
Review error reports and update client orders

About you
Robust Excel and numbers skills, with experience managing budgets, tracking spend or reconciling data
Face-to-face client experience and the confidence to build lasting relationships
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Transparent, friendly written and verbal communication
Keen to learn and grow into a full account management role
Library or book industry experience is a bonus, but not essential
