Sheet Metal Worker - CNC Press/Laser Operator

XL, the industry pioneer and innovator since 1990, is seeking a reliable, experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our world-class Wacol team. We build OEM and custom truck bodies for Ford and Isuzu, work with contemporary machinery in an ISO-certified facility and set the standard for quality (Ford PRO Convertor, Isuzu IBAP Gold).

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating CNC cutting and folding machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting who takes pride in producing accurate work and maintaining high safety standards.

What You'll be Doing
Set up and operate CNC AMADA press brakes and SALVAGNINI panel folding machines
Set up and operate CNC AMADA laser/punch combo and AMADA fiber laser
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
Measure, inspect and verify finished components to ensure quality standards are met
Handle and process sheet metal materials safely and efficiently
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting




Work effectively within a team setting
Comply with workplace health and safety requirements

What We're Looking For
Experience operating CNC sheet metal cutting and folding machinery (essential)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (essential)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship (essential)
Reliable, punctual and safety-focused (essential)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team (essential)
Trade qualification in Sheet Metal, Engineering Fabrication or a related field (preferred)
Current Forklift Licence (preferred)
