Licensed Mechanical Plumber | Project Manager Opportunity

JDM Air is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumber or HVAC Tradesperson ready to take the next step in their career.

If you've spent years on construction sites installing mechanical services and want to move into project management, builder liaison, estimating and project delivery, we'll provide the support and training needed to make the transition.

This role is ideal for someone with strong practical HVAC knowledge who wants a long-term career away from daily installation work while remaining involved in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare HVAC tenders and detailed quotations from plans and specifications
Conduct site inspections and project assessments
Review construction drawings and mechanical requirements
Prepare equipment schedules and material take-offs
Order equipment, accessories, and project materials
Coordinate installation schedules and labour requirements
Liaise with builders, site supervisors, and project stakeholders
Manage RFIs, variations, and project changes
Support installation crews with project requirements and technical information
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and delivery milestones
Build and maintain robust relationships with builders and key clients
Mechanical plumbing,



HVAC or mechanical services industry experience is essential.
Strong understanding of residential and light commercial air conditioning systems
Experience pricing projects from plans and specifications
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Experience dealing directly with builders and construction teams
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Current Driver's Licence
Previous estimating or project management experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
