Experienced GIS Specialist or Analyst who has 3 + years of experience working with the Esri ArcGIS software product. In this position, you will help develop new high-quality spatial layers and maps in Esri ArcGIS adhering to the organisation’s data management and data integrity practices. You will also support the enablement of up-to-date ArcGIS solutions via the development of templates, provision of maps, sites, field data capture apps and creation of online spatial experiences.

• Design enterprise level GIS solutions leveraging the visualisation and analysis capabilities of the ArcGIS Platform

• Implement GIS industry’s and vendor’s best practices and recommendations

• Spatial data integration and modelling

• Building and maintaining GIS databases

• Creating and maintaining process automation related to data maintenance

Essential Experience / Skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Science, Maths, or a relevant field

• Solid experience (5+ years) in the Esri stack (including ArcGIS Enterprise) and how this interacts with other common GIS software from architecture perspective (e.g. FME Server).

• Strong knowledge of ArcPy,



ArcGIS API for JavaScript and ArcGIS API for Python.

• Extensive knowledge of data management / database design in SQL or similar environments

• Experience of developing ETL (Extract Transform Load) procedures, using ArcGIS suite.

• Expertise in data validation / comparison / cleaning / manipulation / loading / integrity / quality control

• Python development skills – ETL process automation; automation of data from webservices and APIs – HTTP / REST; development of applications

• Knowledge of GIS Software – ESRI ArcGIS including ArcMap, ArcPy, ArcGIS Online, QGIS and Open-source geospatial libraries

• Development in version control workplace e.g. GIT

• Experience in AWS or Azure cloud services.

• Ability to plan, manage and deliver projects.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to identify issues, troubleshoot, & recommend and implement solutions.

Advantageous Skills:

• Basic HTML and JavaScript for GUI development

• Visualisation tools; dashboards; graphic design applications
