We're seeking an experienced Group Fleet Controller to take ownership of this critical function and ensure our fleet continues to operate safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.About the RoleReporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Group Fleet Controller is responsible for the day-to-day management of Buildsafe's national fleet portfolio.
This role is positioned on the Gold Coast working from our Head Office in Arundel.
You'll oversee a diverse fleet operating across multiple states, working closely with Branch Managers, Regional Operations Managers and external service providers to maximise fleet performance, compliance, utilisation and cost efficiency.
This is a hands-on role that combines fleet management, supplier relationships, asset utilisation, compliance, procurement and continuous improvement.




You'll play a key role in ensuring our operational teams have the vehicles and resources they need to deliver exceptional service to our customers every day.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate fleet servicing, maintenance and repairsManage registrations, insurance, toll accounts and compliance requirementsOversee accident management and insurance claimsMonitor fuel usage, maintenance costs and fleet performanceBuild strong relationships with suppliers and service providersDrive fleet utilisation, cost control and operational efficienciesLead strategic capital expenditure (capex) planning for fleet acquisition and replacementConduct whole-of-life cost (WOLC) reviews and analysisMaintain accurate fleet records and reportingProvide fleet-related advice and support to operational leadersAbout YouPrevious experience in Fleet Management or a similar roleHigh level of mechanical aptitudeStrong commercial and problem-solving skillsHighly organised with strong attention to detailComfortable working across multiple locations and prioritiesExperience managing suppliers, contracts and fleet-related complianceWhy Join Buildsafe?
