We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Engineer to join our Fiat Payments team.
You will be responsible for integrating and maintaining banking and card payment channels across multiple markets, building the infrastructure that connects our platform to global financial networks.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop integrations with banks, card networks (Visa/Mastercard), and payment service providersBuild and maintain high-availability, high-concurrency payment processing systemsDevelop core payment modules including channel routing, clearing, reconciliation, and settlementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (product, risk, compliance) to deliver reliable payment solutionsParticipate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical troubleshootingContinuously optimize system performance, stability, and scalabilityRequirements3–5 years of Java backend development experienceProficiency in Spring Boot, MyBatis, and common distributed system components (Redis, MQ, etc.)Experience integrating with third-party payment channels, banking APIs, or card payment systemsUnderstanding of payment flows: authorization,



clearing, settlement, reconciliationFluency in English is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
Additional languages would be an advantage.Experience at fintech platforms is a robust plusExperience with high-concurrency, high-availability distributed system designNice to HaveExperience with Visa/Mastercard acquiring or card issuing systemsKnowledge of PCI-DSS or financial compliance standardsCrypto industry backgroundWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
