Stablehand

Duties include but are not limited to:
Prepare and strap horses for trackwork, trials and races
Feed, groom and follow all reasonable instruction to promote, maintain and improve the quality of horse management and training of racehorses
Report to Trainer or Foreperson all elements of horse's performance
Any other basic secure duties

Requirements
Stablehand: must have 1+ year horse handling experience and be familiar with reliable duties
Sr Stablehand: Must have 3+ years of racing stable experience, in a similar role
Must hold valid driving license and have reliable transport

Compensation and Advantages
Salary DOE significantly above Award, with 1- and 3-year longevity increases




Stablehand: $31.50 - $36.40 / hr. (Target Annual Compensation in excess of $80,000)
Sr. Stablehand: $35.80 - $38.05 / hr. (Target Annual Compensation in excess of $95,000)
