A Sydney Local Council is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to run its end-to-end payroll function This is a excellent fit for someone who likes working independently, enjoys a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while providing expert payroll support in accordance with relevant awards, legislation, and organisational policies.

DUTIES.
Support end-to-end payroll duties
Leave and entitlement management
Prepare payroll reports and support audits
Answer staff pay enquiries and resolve discrepancies

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Previous payroll experience, ideally within Local Government
Experience using TechOne




Ability to confidently manage payroll independently
Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, and best practice
High level of attention to detail & problem solving skills
Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
