We are hiring a casual Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Rowing team.

The Strength & Conditioning (S&C;) Coach is directly responsible to the Head of Co-Curricular Sport K-12. The S&C; Coach will oversee, manage, coordinate, and deliver S&C; sessions and programs to students involved in school sporting teams, particularly the HVGS Rowing program.

Work Pattern: This is a casual position, candidates with availability Monday to Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm onwards during school terms is highly desirable

About You
A minimum ASCA Level 1 or equivalent (required)
A current CPR/First Aid Certificate (required)
Hold a current Working with Children Check (required)
A solid working knowledge and teaching skills in analysis and techniques of strength training.
Excellent communication skills,



both written and verbal
Experience and/or expertise in strength and conditioning programming for Junior and Senior school populations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and build relationships with key stakeholders
Self-directed, with the ability to work autonomously and with minimal direction
Ability to:
work in a energetic team workplace
provide support to a small group or individual students in basic skills as required
motivate children to participate in unfamiliar or challenging activities
redirect students into appropriate behaviours during activities
maintain safe work practices
