Organisation
Our client is part of a large and highly regarded Australian consumer products group, with an extensive portfolio of well-known brands.
Following a relatively recent acquisition, the business is continuing to integrate into the broader group. This creates an interesting environment for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, finding better ways of working and helping build stronger finance processes rather than stepping into something already perfected.
Role
Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, with a solid dotted line to the Head of Finance, this role will become a key finance partner across manufacturing, procurement and logistics.
You will have ownership across budgeting, forecasting, product costing and supply chain analysis, but the real opportunity is what sits around that.
There is plenty to improve. We need someone who can work autonomously, spot issues before they become problems and confidently drive change. You will be encouraged to question existing processes,
improve reporting and find prospects to take cost out of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Own budgeting and forecasting across supply chain costs
Analyse manufacturing, procurement, freight and distribution spend
Identify cost drivers, savings opportunities and areas of leakage
Partner with operations to turn financial data into clear actions
Support inventory, demand planning and S&OP; decision-making
Improve KPI reporting, dashboards and financial visibility
Drive better, more automated finance processes and reporting
About You
Experience across supply chain, manufacturing or cost accounting
Solid commercial and analytical capability
Confident partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders
Proactive and comfortable working with limited direction
Someone who spots problems and takes ownership of fixing them
