repairing and troubleshooting heavy equipment in the field and at customer sites.
Your work will include:Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on heavy machineryPreventative and breakdown maintenanceWorking on trucks, heavy mobile equipment and fixed plantCompleting mechanical maintenance and servicingPerforming construction and maintenance tasksTroubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying root causesWorking safely and efficiently across different sites and environmentsCompleting manual and physically demanding tasks as requiredCommunicating effectively with customers, supervisors and other team membersAbout YouTo be successful in this position, you will have:A recognisedtrade qualificationRelevantHigh Risk Work LicencesMinimum2 years' post-apprenticeship experiencein the metal, manufacturing, mining or heavy equipment industryProven experience working ontrucks, heavy machinery and fixed plantStrong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance requirementsGood understanding of the operational characteristics of a variety of heavy equipmentSound understanding ofWork Health & Safety legislationProven ability to perform skilled construction, mechanical and maintenance tasksAbility to confidently undertake a range of manual tasksStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsA practical, logical approach to troubleshooting and problem solvingAbility to assess difficult situations, identify causes, evaluate options and implement effective solutionsA strong safety focus and professional approach to field service work
