Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$170,******/yr - A$190,******/yrDirect message the job poster from Matrix EducationHead of People and Culture at Matrix EducationMatrix Education is hiring a Financial Controller to join the us at our Sydney CBD head office.As the Financial Controller, you will lead the financial management and strategic financial operations of the organisation.Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will oversee the finance function and lead the implementation of finance-related systems, ensure effective cash flow forecasting and management, support mergers and acquisitions, and provide strategic financial insight to support business growth and risk management.This is a key leadership role requiring a mix of financial rigor, systems implementation expertise, and strategic foresight.What you'll do:Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Provide timely financial insights to the CFO and executive team to inform decision-making.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.Supervise the preparation and delivery of monthly board reports.Lead the implementation and optimisation of finance-related systems, including ERP upgrades, reporting tools, and automation solutions.Standardise financial reporting processes and ensure data accuracy across the business.Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and operational workflows.Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation.Monitor financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory,
