With more than 40 years in business, the organisation has built a strong reputation within its sector and is entering an exciting new phase.
Following significant expansion, the focus is now on strengthening the financial platform, systems and processes required to support ambitious growth through to **** and beyond.
The business offers an upbeat, entrepreneurial and fast-paced workplace, where people are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas and share in the organisation's success.
It is also certified as a Great Place to Work.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will lead day-to-day financial operations across the group, taking ownership of cash flow, working capital, month-end close, financial reporting, compliance and NetSuite administration.
You will lead the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team and work closely with Procurement, Commercial and operational leaders to strengthen financial discipline across the business.

An early priority will be improving cash conversion through reliable forecasting, stronger collections and disciplined payment processes.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and building a finance function that can support a growing operation.
Key responsibilities include
Leading day-to-day financial operations and developing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team
Maintaining daily cash visibility and a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
Improving credit control, collections, debtor management and invoicing turnaround
Managing supplier payment processes and supporting improvements in working capital
Owning month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
Preparing divisional reporting and monthly management packs for CFO review
Taking ownership of NetSuite administration, including permissions, workflows, master data and reporting
Managing statutory compliance, year-end accounts and external accountant and audit requirements
You will have the opportunity to build solid relationships across the operation, understand how work flows through the business and help teams improve the processes that influence reporting, profitability and cash.
About You

We're seeking a practical and proactive Financial Controller or experienced senior finance leader who enjoys taking ownership and improving the way a business operates.
You will be comfortable leading a small team while remaining close to the underlying numbers, systems and daily finance activities.
Ideally, you will bring:
CA or CPA qualifications and a relevant tertiary qualification
Experience within a multi-site or operationally complex organisation
Hands-on NetSuite administration experience, including roles and permissions, workflows, saved searches and multi-subsidiary configuration
Demonstrated success improving cash flow forecasting, credit control and working capital
Strong technical accounting skills across month-end, balance sheet management and statutory reporting
Experience documenting and implementing finance processes and internal controls
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
An approachable leadership style and the confidence to work directly with operational stakeholders
What's on Offer?
This is an opportunity to join an established Australian business with significant growth plans and make a visible contribution to its next stage.
Working closely with the CFO, you will have broad ownership of the finance function's daily execution and the scope to improve systems, strengthen processes and develop the team around you.
The role offers variety, direct exposure to the operation and the opportunity to see the impact of your work across cash flow, reporting and business performance.
The position can be based in Leeton, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth, with Leeton, Sydney or Brisbane preferred.
Regular attendance at the Leeton head office and periodic branch travel will be required.
