We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer ready to take the next step up into a Senior Project Engineer role.
This position carries real ownership - you'll be the technical backbone of the project, working closely with the Site Supervisor day-to-day and reporting into the Project Manager, but expected to operate independently without needing hand-holding from senior management.
The role has a strong focus on concrete infrastructure delivery, with particular emphasis on FRP scope - from technical review through to on-site execution.Key responsibilitiesTake full ownership of the engineering delivery of concrete infrastructure projects, with a robust focus on FRP worksReview and approve temporary works designsReview reinforcement drawings and schedules for compliance and constructabilityReview and sign off on concrete mix designsManage material ordering and procurement to keep the program on trackUpdate and maintain construction programsMaintain daily cost control and tracking, flagging variances earlyWork hand-in-hand with the Site Supervisor to solve problems in real timeReport progress,



risks and commercial issues up to the Project ManagerOperate autonomously and be the trusted technical decision-maker on siteAbout youMinimum 5 years' experience on Australian construction projectsProven experience working with tier-1 and/or tier-2 buildersStrong track record project managing concrete infrastructure worksSolid understanding of FRP applications in civil/concrete construction (essential)Confident reviewing temporary works, reinforcement and concrete mix designsComfortable managing cost control, procurement and programming without close supervisionA self-starter who can stand alone on site - you won't need to lean on senior management to get things doneStrong communicator who works well with site supervisors, subcontractors and project managersRelevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)About usKilcomer Group is a construction and labour hire business delivering complex civil and concrete infrastructure works across QLD, NSW, ACT and SA.
