Finance Manager | Commercial Construction | JobpacDesign & Build Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSWFinance Manager | Sydney | Full-time | Commercial ConstructionWe are working with a growing Sydney-based construction business delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, heritage and infrastructure projects across NSW.They are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and work closely with the Directors and broader project team.The Role:Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and providing commercial insight to support ongoing growth.Your responsibilities will include:Managing the day-to-day finance function, including AP, AR, payroll and month-end processesPreparing monthly management accounts, financial reporting and cash-flow forecastsManaging WIP, project financials, revenue recognition and cost reportingMonitoring project profitability, budgets, variations and financial performanceSupporting project teams with financial analysis and commercial reportingManaging debtor and creditor relationships and ensuring effective cash-flow managementPreparing budgets,



forecasts and financial modelsOverseeing statutory compliance, BAS, GST, payroll tax and other financial obligationsWorking closely with external accountants, auditors and other professional advisersReviewing and improving financial processes, systems and controlsProviding commercial advice and financial insights to the DirectorsSupporting the business through continued growth and expansionWe are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Accountant who has a solid understanding of the construction industry and is comfortable taking ownership of a finance function.You will ideally have:Previous experience within construction, building, engineering or a related project-based environmentStrong understanding of project accounting, WIP, job costing and project profitabilityExperience managing the full accounting functionStrong month-end, management reporting & forecasting skillsExcellent attention to detail and commercial acumenStrong communication skills and the ability to work closely with Directors and operational teamsExperience with JobpacCA/CPA qualification or working towards qualification would be advantageous
