Sheet Metal Fabricator / Stainless Steel WelderThis is a permanent full time position with an immediate start.
You will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of water and wastewater treatment equipment, working primarily with stainless steel tanks and carbon steel structure.Key responsibilitiesReading and interpreting fabrication and engineering drawingsStainless steel and carbon steel sheet metal fabricationCutting, folding, fitting and assembly of fabricated componentsBasic MIG/TIG tack weldingOperating guillotines and brake pressesUsing electrical hand tools and workshop equipmentEnsuring a high standard of workmanship and finishWorking safely and maintaining a clean and organised workshopAssisting with equipment assembly and other fabrication activities as requiredOccasional site work and interstate travel may be requiredAbout youPrevious experience in sheet metal fabricationAbility to read and understand fabrication/engineering drawingsPractical experience working with stainless steel and carbon steelBasic welding skills, including tack weldingAbility to use common electrical hand toolsGood attention to detail and pride in workmanshipReliable, responsible and able to work effectively as part of a teamExperience operating a guillotine and brake press (highly desirable)Stainless steel welding/fabrication experience (highly desirable)About usSWA Water Australia is a leading Australian water treatment equipment manufacturer, specialising in the design and manufacture of water and wastewater treatment systems.
