Star Aviation Services is seeking an experienced Cargo Operations Manager to lead our cargo handling operations at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI).

Leading from the front, you will oversee safe, efficient and service-focused cargo handling activities, supporting the seamless movement of freight while building a capable and engaged operational team.

Job Description
Star Aviation Star Aviation is seeking an experiencedCargo Operations Manager to support the Cargo Terminal Manager in overseeing daily operations, workforce planning and team leadership.
This is a senior leadership role with additional operational responsibilities, providing key support as the 2IC to the Cargo Terminal Manager.
Key responsibilities:




Lead workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation.
Support daily operational planning to ensure efficient service delivery.
Provide leadership, coaching and support to operational teams.
Oversee training compliance and operational records.
Support warehouse, logistics and equipment management activities.
Assist with stakeholder management, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
Experience in aviation freight or warehousing is essential.
Solid leadership capability with a focus on people and performance
Strong workforce planning and problem-solving capability
Available to work a rotating overnight shift roster.
The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
To be eligible, you must hold valid photo identification and successfully meet all background and security clearance requirements.
