nOur client, an established international business with Australian operations, is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant with strong financial reporting and control experience.n
nWorking closely with the CFO, you will deliver timely reporting, maintain the integrity of the accounts, and support the business's compliance obligations. The role also provides exposure to cash flow, payroll governance and oversight of the payables and receivables functions.n
The Role
n
n
Take ownership of month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Month end reporting including quarterly and annual group reporting.
n
Maintain general ledger accuracy, investigate variances and resolve reconciling items.
n
Prepare ATO and compliance requirements, including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax supporting schedules.
n
Oversee the payroll function and payroll-related accounting and compliance across PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and STP.
n




Provide day-to-day guidance to finance support staff and oversee the accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable and receivable activities.
n
Monitor cash flow and working capital, providing visibility over outstanding balances and inventory-related financial impacts.
n
Improve reporting processes, accounting procedures and internal controls.

What you'll bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualifications with minimum 5 years financial accounting experience
n
Solid technical accounting skills and experience delivering month-end close and financial reporting.
n
A sound understanding of Australian statutory reporting and tax obligations.
n
Confidence working with payroll providers and reviewing payroll-related accounting and compliance.
n
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving issues.
n
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both finance and operational colleagues.
n
Experience within an international or group-reporting environment would be advantageous.
