Hysata is on a mission to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to green hydrogen with the world's most efficient electrolyser. Our breakthrough capillary-fed electrolyser achieves an unprecedented 95% system efficiency (41.5 kWh/kg) – a step change from incumbent technologies, which typically sit at ~75% and already ahead of International Renewable Energy Agency's **** target. This leap in performance enables a radically simpler system design, slashing both energy use (opex) and system and renewables capex.

About the role n
It is now time to refine and expand our manufacturing capacity to meet customer demand, so we are seeking a Senior CNC Machinist for our in-house workshop to support the manufacture of prototypes and early production parts for our groundbreaking technology. No two days are the same at Hysata. You will be joining a team of smart, driven, collaborative and highly resolute individuals who are passionate in solving engineering challenges and who are excited to be fighting the climate crisis.
Role responsibilities n
n




Analyse components for manufacture and decide upon the best approach that maintains required quality while simultaneously manufacturing the components in a timely manner, utilising our CNC VMC Mills, water jet and laser cutter, 3D printers and other manual machinery;

Utilise Autodesk Fusion to design and model jigs, fixtures and CAM setups, to then be used in CAM programs. Organised and logical programming is a must. Meticulous attention to detail is vital;
n
To understand one's responsibilities each day and maintain appropriate focus on set tasks, ensuring due dates are achieved consistently. Maturity in planning, prioritisation and scheduling are expected in the role;

Understand the core design intent of the received components and provide feedback to the design team regarding their manufacturing feasibility and/or provide solutions to minimise the difficulty in producing the components;

Ability to understand the maintenance requirements of our machinery and take the appropriate action to keep them in safe, proper operating condition; and
n
To always be safety conscious, by adhering to established safety protocol while being proactive in noticing potential issues and flagging them immediately.

What you'll bring n

5+ years of tradesman experience working as a machinist in a
prototyping/jobbing
shop setting;
n
Good interpersonal skills with clear and open communication;
n
Organisational and data management skills;
n
Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; and
n
