Job Description
Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support a major Fixed Plant Maintenance team within a leading WA mining operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional with a strong maintenance background to play a critical role in the development and improvement of maintenance documentation, master data and asset management processes. Offered as an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension, this position will suit someone who thrives on collaborating with stakeholders across all levels of the business and transforming technical information into practical, user-friendly documentation.
About the Role n
Reporting into the Fixed Plant Maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a range of technical documentation to support protected, efficient and reliable maintenance practices.
Key responsibilities include: n

Writing and updating
work instructions and maintenance procedure
s
n
Developing preventative maintenance instructions and documentation
n
Creating and processing
SAP master data
requests
n
Spares cataloguing
and maintenance of asset information
n
Supporting task list, maintenance plan and maintenance strategy development within SAP
n
Reviewing OEM manuals and translating technical information into site-specific documentation
n
Collaborating with engineers, planners, supervisors,



reliability teams and frontline technicians
n
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and asset management functions
n
About You n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Previous experience in a
Technical Writer position within mining, resources or heavy industry
n
Strong Fixed Plant Maintenance knowledge
n
Experience
writing technical documents, work instructions and maintenance procedures
n
SAP Master Data experience
, including maintenance plans, task lists and strategies
n
Spares cataloguing and asset management experience
n
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
A positive attitude and ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from management through to frontline maintenance personnel
n
