Legal Services Manager
Albion, Brisbane | Queensland Government Contract | Initial Contract to 30 June **** with Possible 6-Month Extension
We are seeking an experienced legal leader to join a Queensland Government organisation in a pivotal leadership capacity.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior legal professional to lead a dedicated legal services function while providing strategic advice to executive stakeholders within a complex regulatory environment.
Reporting directly to the organisation's most senior executive and forming part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will play a key role in supporting organisational governance, regulatory decision-making and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Legal Services function.
Provide expert legal advice to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Manage complex legal matters across regulatory, administrative, governance and employment law.
Oversee litigation, disciplinary proceedings, tribunal matters and external legal providers.




Ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements.
Develop legal strategies that support organisational objectives and risk management.
Lead, mentor and develop legal team members.
Contribute to executive-level planning, governance and decision-making.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia.
Significant post-admission experience, ideally 10+ years.
Demonstrated leadership experience within government, regulatory, legal or highly regulated environments.
Robust expertise in administrative law, governance, compliance, investigations and litigation.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience providing strategic legal advice to senior executives and decision-makers.
The ability to balance legal risk with practical business outcomes.
