About your current role
n
n
n
n
We're looking for a Production & Distribution Assistant to join our Melbourne roastery team based in Reservoir, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and our coffee making its way to customers across Australia.
n
n
n
n
Working across production, packing and distribution, you'll be right in the middle of the action, preparing customer orders, keeping stock moving and lending a hand with the roasting process. It's a hands-on role for someone who likes being on their feet, working alongside a great team and taking pride in getting things done well.

A day in the life
n
n
n
n
n
n
Prepare and pack finished products ready to make their way to our customers
n
n
Keep things moving on the packaging line, packing bagged coffee into boxes
n
n
Check inbound deliveries and accurately count, record and report stock movements
n
n
Lend a hand loading green coffee into the roasting process, including handling sacks and bulk bags
n
n
Help keep the roastery tidy, organised and running smoothly
n
n
Follow health, safety and manual handling procedures to keep yourself and the team safe
n
n
Pitch in with the team wherever needed because no two days in the roastery are exactly the same
n
n
n
n
n
n
About you
n
n
n
n
If you've spent some time in warehousing, production or packaging, even better. An interest in specialty coffee definitely helps too. You'll be someone who:
n
n
n
n
Has experience in warehousing and/or packaging line operations
n




n
Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in getting things right
n
n
Is comfortable using basic computer programs, including Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheets
n
n
Brings a positive, collaborative attitude and is always happy to pitch in
n
n
Is able to safely lift and move loads of up to 18kg
n
n
Is comfortable safely handling *****kg green coffee sacks using the appropriate equipment
n
n
Has a strong focus on safety and looks out for the people around them
n
n
n
n
n
n
A valid driver's licence and reliable transport are preferred, and a forklift licence and/or reach forklift experience is a bonus.
