Trades Assistant
to join our Kewdale workshop team.
n
This role is suited to someone who is early in their career, enjoys hands‐on mechanical work and takes pride in seeing equipment properly finished and ready to go out the door. It offers a great opportunity to build practical skills while working with specialised pumping equipment in a growing manufacturing setting.
The Role n
Reporting to the
Services Manager
, this position plays an important role in the
testing, finishing and preparation of pumps for dispatch
, while also supporting general workshop operations.
n
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, your responsibilities will include:
n
Assisting with the assembly and preparation of pumps and pump systems
n
Assisting with
pump testing and pre-dispatch checks
n
Preparing pumps and components for
painting and final finishing
n
Painting pumps, components and assembled equipment to the required standard
n
Completing final clean‐up, touch‐ups and presentation of equipment prior to dispatch
n
Assisting with the preparation and assembly of
complete pump system builds
n
Supporting mechanical fitters and machinists with workshop tasks as required
n
Operating a forklift to move pumps, equipment and materials
n
Assisting with the safe lifting and positioning of components
n
Ensuring completed equipment is correctly prepared and ready for dispatch
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment
n
This is a practical role where attention to detail matters. You'll be involved in the final stages of our builds and will help ensure equipment leaving the workshop is
tested, finished and presented to a high standard
