About the Internship
n
This
12-month Surgical Internship
is part of the nationally recognised
Greencross Intern Program
, designed to support your transition into specialist surgical practice in a vibrant teaching hospital setting.
n
As a Surgical Intern, you will:
n
n
Assist in surgical consultations, diagnostics, and procedures
n
Participate in perioperative patient care and surgical rounds
n
Engage in journal clubs, case presentations, and hospital-wide multidisciplinary rounds
n
Collaborate with specialists across disciplines including Internal Medicine, ECC, Neurology, Oncology, Anaesthesia, and more
n




Receive structured mentoring and progressive clinical responsibility
n
n

What We're Looking For
n
You are a motivated, skilled and enthusiastic veterinarian who:
n
n
Is eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria
n
Holds a current radiation licence
n
Has strong communication skills, a solid medical knowledge base, and a great work ethic
n
Has clinical experience (desirable but not essential)
n
n
