Join an established Australian adaptable packaging manufacturer as a Printer Assistant.
Our client operates a modern production facility in Melbourne's north, specialising in extrusion and flexographic printing across polyethylene films, delivering custom packaging solutions to major clients across Australia. This is a permanent, full‐time role working a day shift in a hands‐on, technology‐focused production environment where print quality and safety are paramount.

Day shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm

Located in Heidelberg West

Full training provided: 2-3 weeks onboarding and shadowing before working autonomously

What you'll be doing: n
n
Assisting setup and operation of flexographic printing presses to production schedules
n
Supporting ink preparation, mixing, and colour management
n
Assisting with print registration, impression,



and colour consistency monitoring
n
Identifying and reporting print defects to the lead printer
n
Supporting press maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers
n
Safe handling and palletising of finished product
n
Completing production and quality documentation
n
Learning flexographic printing operations through hands‐on experience
n
To be considered for this role: n
n
Willingness to learn and develop trade skills in flexographic printing
n
Any relevant manufacturing, printing, or production experience is a bonus (but not essential)
n
Machine operation experience is advantageous
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes
n
Capable of manual handling tasks and palletising
n
Strong attention to detail with genuine commitment to safety
n
Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a team
n
