Intermediate to Senior Accountant — North Sydney n
VLL Partners is a boutique chartered accounting firm in North Sydney. We look after many client groups — companies, trusts, sole traders, partnerships and SMSFs — handling their tax, accounting, ASIC compliance and tax advisory services.
n
You'll deal with clients' compliance work, with an avenue towards being involved with the advisory work with experience.
What you'll actually be doing n
Preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust, partnership & SMSF tax returns
n
Preparing BAS and IAS, and resolving GST treatment questions as they come up
n
Division 7A, trust distribution resolutions, CGT calculations and year-end tax planning
n
ASIC corporate secretarial work including Annual Company Statements
n




Supporting and occasionally reviewing the work of junior staff.
What we're looking for n
CA completed, or in-progress
n
3+ years in Australian public practice across a mixed client base
n
Confidence preparing a full set of accounts and a tax return with minimal review
n
Working knowledge of Division 7A, trust distributions, GST & CGT.
n
Clear, plain written and spoken English, and the judgement to know when to elevate something
n
We're adaptable on where you sit between intermediate and senior — the scope of the role, and the salary, will be set to match the person we find.
