Summary:

Radiology Technicians operate X-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment to create images of the internal structures of the human body. They maintain a high degree of accuracy while using radiation safely to produce high-quality images. They also interact with patients to explain the procedure, prepare the patient for the exam, and make sure the patient is comfortable.

Responsibilities:

- Operate X-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment to create images of the internal structures of the human body

- Perform basic patient care tasks,

- Ensure quality assurance, equipment maintenance, image processing, and record keeping

Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure or certification, if required
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protection
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy
