Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations by preparing and conducting experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for science.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and conduct experiments under the supervision of laboratory staff
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in good working order
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and workspaces
- Record and analyse experimental data
- Assist with the preparation of laboratory reports and presentations




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Order and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory
- Assist with the training of new laboratory staff

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Robust attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
