Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to support a large enterprise infrastructure environment on a six-month contract.

This role combines approximately 60% project delivery and 40% business-as-usual support. The environment is predominantly on-premises, with some cloud exposure, and suits a hands-on infrastructure all-rounder with strong troubleshooting skills.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver infrastructure projects and support day-to-day platform operations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.
- Support VMware virtualisation and Hitachi storage and backup platforms.
- Manage SCCM and infrastructure patching.
- Support certificate management.
- Resolve complex enterprise infrastructure issues in collaboration with technical teams.

Skills and experience





- Proven senior infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange skills.
- Wintel experience
- Hands-on VMware experience.
- Experience with Hitachi storage and backup.
- Strong SCCM and patching capabilities.
- Knowledge of certificates and certificate management.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and a versatile approach.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable

- Microsoft Entra ID experience.
- Networking exposure, particularly Palo Alto.
