We're seeking a hands-on, multi-skilled Metal Fabricator / Sheetmetal Tradesperson to join a growing small workshop in Hallam that values quality workmanship, team culture, and reliable people.
This is not repetitive factory production work. You'll be involved in a variety of fabrication projects working across stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium using a range of machinery and fabrication techniques. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and building quality products from start to finish — this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

- General Sheetmetal and metal fabrication
- MIG & TIG welding
- Fabricating and assembling custom components
- Operating workshop machinery including:
- Brake Press
- Guillotine
- Rollers
- Drill Presses

- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
- Working on a variety of fabrication projects
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop

What We're Looking For

- Trade qualified Metal Fabricator or relevant experience




- Strong TIG and/or MIG welding skills
- Experience with Sheetmetal fabrication
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Someone who enjoys working in a small team environment
- Ability to work independently and get the job done

Highly Regarded

- Laser cutting experience
- Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel

Hours

- Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm

Pay Rate

- $35-$40 per hour depending on experience
