About the company
Pindan Beef Co, formerly the Kimberley Meat Company, is an export beef processing facility located between Broome and Derby in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Under recent ownership and following a significant plant upgrade, the business is preparing to recommence processing and is building its team from the ground up.

Backed by a major international investor and part of a vertically integrated, paddock-to-plate pastoral business, this is a rare opportunity to help build an operation from the outset.

About the role
Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Officer supports the implementation and maintenance of the site's Quality Management System. You'll work closely with production supervisors and operational teams to make sure product is safe, compliant, and meets customer and export specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

- Pre-operational hygiene inspections and sanitation verification
- Monitoring CCPs and verifying HACCP, labelling, traceability and specification compliance
- Ensuring compliance with Export Control legislation, the Export Meat Rules, AUS-MEAT requirements and customer (country) specifications
- Monitoring yields, recoveries, condemnations, downgrades and waste, and helping production teams reduce quality-related losses




- Monitoring livestock handling and animal welfare compliance
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances and supporting corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate QA records and assisting with internal, DAFF, AUS-MEAT and customer audits

About you

- At least 2 years' experience in the meat processing industry
- Certificate II in Meat Processing or higher
- AUS-MEAT Online Standards Officer qualification
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems and export processing requirements
- Experience conducting inspections, monitoring and verification
- Strong attention to detail, record-keeping and computer skills

It would be highly regarded if you also have experience in an export-registered establishment, an AUS-MEAT Beef qualification, internal auditor training, experience with Information Leader or a similar QMS, and a current First Aid certificate.
