We are looking for a Finance Transformation Delivery Lead, to work with one of our retail clients on a max term contract until the end of FY27. This is a senior, hands-on opportunity to take an established finance transformation roadmap through execution and deliver practical improvements across planning, forecasting and budgeting.

About the opportunity

Our client is progressing a program of work focused on improving its financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes.

The upfront program definition is underway, including the development of key initiatives, charters and a delivery roadmap.

We are looking for a senior transformation resource who can take this work forward, translate the roadmap into action and drive the program through execution, working closely with senior Finance stakeholders and other Senior Manager-level resources.

What you'll be doing

- Drive program delivery: Take the existing roadmap and initiatives and translate them into clear workplans, priorities and deliverables.
- Lead execution: Coordinate activities, manage dependencies, resolve issues and maintain momentum across the program.
- Engage senior stakeholders: Work confidently alongside senior Finance leaders and other Senior Manager-level resources to drive alignment, decisions and accountability.
- Bring strategic thinking: Challenge the approach, identify opportunities and help shape solutions as issues arise.
- Deliver practical outcomes:



Ensure the program moves beyond planning into tangible improvements to financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes.

About you

Essential experience

- Strong background in finance transformation, finance operations or financial planning and performance improvement.
- Proven experience leading and delivering transformation programs or complex initiatives.
- Understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Robust stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior Finance leaders.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems and drive delivery with limited oversight.

Highly desirable

- Previous management consulting experience, ideally in finance transformation, operating model or business transformation.
- In-house experience within a Finance function, Finance Operations, FP&A; or Finance Transformation team.
- Experience taking consultant-defined strategies, initiatives or roadmaps through to implementation.
