About the role:

Exciting opportunity for an Audio Visual Technology (AVT) Engineer in a multidisciplinary building services engineering firm.

JHA is in need of an ambitious AVT Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic company. You will thrive working as part of an experienced, skilled, motivated team. We are looking for someone with solid drawing & documentation skills, engineering & critical analysis skills, communication skills, dedication, and a strong enthusiasm to learn.

You will be reporting to the AV Group Leader and will be required to assist on challenging projects from their inception to completion and to foster and maintain a solid relationship with clients.

Engineers will work under the mentorship of senior engineers. Your progression to running your own projects and moving to an intermediate/senior role will depend solely on your ability to learn and develop. We pride ourselves in tailoring specific development plans for each individual, and track their progress on the agreed development plan on a quarterly basis.

To be considered for this role, you must:

- Demonstrate a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in audio visual and technology equipment and systems.

- Experience in AutoCAD, Revit or similar drawing and modeling software’s.

- Be comfortable interpreting and preparing engineering reports

- Have a passion for designing and analysing solutions to complex audio visual & technology engineering problems from broad concepts to fine details

- Show strong initiative, efficiency and creativity in your approach to problem solving

- Follow the Engineers Australia Code of Ethics

- Be comfortable and confident meeting clients, colleagues and

- Be professional, punctual, well-presented and friendly

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Colleagues & Design team members

- Design & Documentation of AVT solutions to meet project requirements.

- Attend client meetings and coordination meetings.

- Ensuring work is completed within assigned timeframes and budgets





- Ensuring work is completed to a high, consistent quality.

- Understanding of applicable codes, standards and industry practice, including AVIXA, NCC and Australian Standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

- A team player with excellent communication skills.

- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.

- Ability to use and adapt to using different engineering softwares.

- Excellent written and verbal English communication

- Good organisation skills

- Experience in AutoCAD, Revit or professional drawing software’s.

- Highly competent computer skills using a variety of Computer softwares including Word, PowerPoint, BlueBeam and Excel.

- Programming & Coding skills are also beneficial.

- Formal IT and Security qualifications will be highly regarded.

- Formal training and expertise in theatrical production, stage lighting, recording studio or videography will be highly regarded.

- Degree qualified engineer will be highly regarded (must be recognized by Engineers Australia).

- NSW drivers license will be highly regarded.

- Knowledge or experience of the construction industry including a White card will be highly regarded.
