Our client is a privately owned business that has been in operation for almost 30years. The current owner has managed it for the last 15 years and in that time as taken it from a turnover of $4M to approximately $25M.

The Senior Bookkeeper who manages the finances has been in the role for over 15 years. In that time the business has grown substantially and the needs of the business has grown as well.

Accordingly the opportunity has arisen for an experienced accountant to join the business to handle the following:

- Work with the senior bookkeeper in ensuring that all records and transactions are accurate and properly accounted for

- Assess the systems and processes and make recommendations to management where appropriate

- Monthly management reporting

- Cash flow management

- Fortnightly pays are processed correctly and all compliances are accurately calculated and recorded

- Annual budgets are prepared and comparisons to actuals are analysed

- Liaise with the external accountant and provide them with the required information and quarterly reports

- Report to and assist the Managing Director

To be considered for this position you will need the following skills and experience:

- 3+ years experience in Australia as an Accountant or Company Accountant

- Strong accounting software skills and knowledge and ideally experience with MS Dynamics Business Central

- Experience producing monthly management reports

- Experience assisting external accountants and the business owners

- Staff management experience

- Be self driven and also a good team player

- High attention to detail

- Positive work ethic

- A record of stable employment
