About the role

Q and O Plumbing is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Plumber to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your plumbing skills whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive workplace. As an apprentice, you will gain practical hands-on experience across a variety of plumbing projects, from residential to commercial installations, whilst completing your formal training.

This role is fundamental to your development as a qualified tradesperson and will provide you with the foundation for a rewarding career in the plumbing industry.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting experienced plumbers on job sites with the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems
- Learning and applying fundamental plumbing techniques including pipework, fitting installation and system connections
- Preparing job sites, gathering materials and tools required for plumbing work
- Following health and safety regulations and best practices on all work sites
- Completing assigned training modules and coursework as part of your apprenticeship programme
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on projects
- Assisting with basic maintenance tasks, cleaning and organisation of tools and equipment
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and senior tradespeople to understand project requirements
- Developing knowledge of plumbing codes, standards and regulations relevant to Victoria

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or recently commenced a plumbing apprenticeship (1st year preferred)
- Valid apprenticeship contract or commitment to undertaking formal plumbing training
- Strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for learning the plumbing trade
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude towards work
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely on construction and maintenance sites
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team




- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, lifting and working at heights
- Current or willingness to obtain a valid driver's licence
- A willingness to develop knowledge of health and safety practices in the trades
- No formal plumbing qualifications required – we value attitude and commitment to learning
