About the Opportunity

Join ALM as a Financial Accountant on a full time permanent basis and play a key role in delivering financial integrity, commercial insights, and continuous process improvement across the business.



Based at Macquarie Park with a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, this opportunity is ideal for a proactive finance skilled who thrives on uncovering insights, streamlining processes, and taking ownership to deliver measurable results. You'll leverage your strong analytical capabilities to manage balance sheet reconciliations, identify opportunities for improvement, and support better business decision-making.

Success in this role will come from your attention to detail, commercial mindset, and passion for driving efficiencies that create real business value.

In this Role

- Responsible for monthly accounting and analysis for New Zealand and National business including IBA
- Perform accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and drive action.
- Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Point of contact for half-year and full-year audit
- Preparation of Group reporting requirements, including impairment assessment and accounting papers
- Completing financial data surveys for NZ Entity
- Guide and coach offshore team member
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations and Shared Services teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial accounting processes.





You're Likely a Match If

- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Degree and CPA or CA qualified
- Knowledge of MS Office applications (intermediate)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Process improvement mindset
- Microsoft Dynamic 365 experience preferred
