Role Description The Accounting Manager role is a full time, remote position responsible for overseeing core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role includes managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.

The Accounting

Manager will monitor fixed assets, coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve analyzing financial data, identifying process improvements, supporting audits, and collaborating with leadership to provide clear, data-informed insights. The role requires proactive communication in a remote environment and alignment with the company’s focus on thoughtful, human-centered systems.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Financial Statements and Finance, with experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial reports.




- Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Experience with Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience with accounting software and cloud-based tools; comfort working in a fully remote, tech-enabled environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
- Clear, direct communication skills and ability to collaborate with founders and small leadership teams.
- Prior experience in a growth-stage or technology-focused organization is beneficial.
