What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on role leading a small, established team while also playing an important role in improving and evolving our Accounts Payable function.
Over the next 12 months, you’ll help us move towards a more productive future state, while maintaining the accuracy, controls and service levels that keep the business running.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function and team.
- Oversee the timely and accurate coding and processing of supplier invoices across multiple cost centres and entities.
- Manage invoice approvals, purchase orders, payment batches and supplier reconciliations.
- Maintain vendor master data and ensure data integrity and appropriate controls.
- Understand and oversee key manual checks and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve Accounts Payable queries promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and support continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- Experience in a senior Accounts Payable or Finance leadership role with strong end-to-end AP knowledge.
- A hands-on, positive and supportive leadership style.
- The ability to learn a complex business, its systems and diverse supplier base and build strong relationships across the organisation.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, multi-company environment.
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of manual checks and controls.
- A genuine interest in process improvement and the ability to manage change and help move the function towards a more efficient future state.
- Experience using D365, Truckmate, or similar software will be highly regarded, however full training will be provided.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
