Aurora Healthcare is seeking an experienced or developing Addiction Psychiatrist to join the team at Currumbin Clinic , one of Queensland’s established private mental health services.

About Currumbin Clinic

Located on the southern Gold Coast, Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital providing specialist treatment across a range of mental health conditions, with particular strength in addiction, trauma and associated mental health presentations .

The clinic offers a multidisciplinary environment with established clinical programs and access to a broad referral network, allowing psychiatrists to focus on delivering high-quality, individualised patient care.

The prospect

We are looking to connect with psychiatrists who have an interest or experience in addiction psychiatry , including the treatment of alcohol and other drug dependence and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Depending on your interests and availability, there is flexibility to build a role incorporating:

- Inpatient addiction psychiatry
- Private outpatient consulting
- Ongoing management of patients following admission
- Contribution to addiction treatment programs and service development
- Collaboration with experienced nursing, allied health and clinical teams
- Opportunities to develop services aligned with your own areas of clinical interest

About you We would welcome conversations with psychiatrists who:

- Hold RANZCP specialist recognition
- Have current AHPRA specialist registration
- Have an interest, experience or subspecialty focus in addiction psychiatry
- Value collaborative, multidisciplinary care
- Are interested in private psychiatry and developing a longer-term relationship with the hospital

Formal addiction subspecialty training is welcomed but is not essential for psychiatrists with a strong interest and relevant clinical experience. Interested in a confidential conversation?
