Mt Isa Community Corrections are seeking a permanent full-time AO3 Administration Officer for their busy district office. If you are customer-service focused and committed to respectful and positive engagement with clients & stakeholders, this role could be for you.
Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adults subject to Community Based Orders and/or Parole and offers great remote area incentives and flexible work arrangements. Northern Region is committed to diversity, skilled maturity & creativity in a complex and evolving practice of Human Services.
This isn’t just an admin role, it’s an opportunity to continue a rewarding career in administration, supporting vital human resource and financial functions in the district office and our remote reporting centres in Doomadgee and Mornington Island.
The Essential Requirements For This Role Are
- Communication skills as demonstrated through the ability to listen, understand and speak clearly to a wide range of audiences. Written skills with the ability to summarise information and data
- Proven administrative skills including financial processing and database management
- Ability to apply and understand departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information
- Planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations
- Decision making and reasoning involve gathering information, evaluating a variety of solutions, and selecting the best option, working ethically, working under pressure and demonstrating resilience
- Teamwork skills with the ability to work without supervision and as part of the broader team. In addition, demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to team results.
- Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
Mandatory Requirements
- There are no mandatory requirements.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business, and the possession of a C class licence is required.
