About the role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – HSEQ & Operations, you will work closely with the Safety team, Crane Office, Bookings team and crane crew. This is a hands-on administration role that sits across both Crane Operations and Safety, helping make sure our people are inducted, records are current, compliance requirements are met and the Crane Office and Bookings teams have the information they need to keep jobs moving. You will play a key role in supporting operational readiness across the business, particularly through managing customer inductions, employee records, compliance documentation and day-to-day administration.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing customer and site inductions for crane crew, including enrolling employees, tracking completion and updating NexGen records.
- Helping employees access and complete induction requirements.
- Working closely with Bookings to ensure the right employees are inducted and available for upcoming work.
- Assist in maintaining employee licences, tickets, certifications and qualification records.
- Maintaining rigging registers and other operational records.
- Providing backup support for customer quoting and job time approvals as required.
- Supporting the maintenance and review of safety and quality-system documents.
- Completing customer and subcontractor pre-qualification documentation.
- Maintaining compliance folders for cranes, vehicles, trucks and other plant.
- Coordinating calibration of equipment including auto-levels, laser tools, BAC units and noise-monitoring devices.
- Coordinating first aid kit and fire-extinguisher checks, replacements and stock levels.
- Supporting accurate, timely and compliant administration across both Operations and Safety.
What we're looking for
You will be someone who is proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership, with the confidence to follow things through, communicate clearly and keep on top of competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
You will ideally have
- Previous administration experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Confidence working with different teams across Operations, Safety Bookings and the wider business.
- A willingness to take ownership and follow tasks through to completion.
What will make you successful
You will suit this role if you:
- Take ownership and ensure ongoing follow up;
- Are comfortable asking questions and chasing information;
- Keep records accurate and up to date;
- Can work across multiple systems and priorities;
- Communicate clearly with both office staff and operational employees;
- Are solutions-focused and adaptable;
- Take pride in getting things right; and
- Value safety, teamwork, integrity and accountability.
