About the Role
As a HR Advisor, you’ll be part of a small but mighty team that supports the Executive Leadership Team and Directorate with all things people. From recruitment and policy development to workforce planning and employee support, you’ll be a trusted partner helping our teams thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing timely, accurate advice on HR matters including recruitment, conditions of service, and policy interpretation.
- Managing HR documentation, systems, and shared inboxes with precision and care.
- Drafting correspondence, reports, and materials that support our HR operations.
- Supporting HR initiatives that build capability and enhance our workplace culture.
- Building solid relationships across iCBR and with external stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of ACT Public Service employment frameworks and contemporary human resource practices, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear, professional advice. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to effectively manage competing priorities, and committed to maintaining confidentiality, respect and equity in the workplace.
Experience using HR and corporate systems, including Chris21, Objective and Microsoft Office applications, will be highly regarded.
We are seeking a collaborative and proactive individual with a strong understanding of ACT Public Service employment frameworks and contemporary human resource practices. The successful applicant will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical and professional advice to a diverse range of stakeholders. They will be highly organised, adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment, while maintaining confidentiality and upholding the principles of respect and equity.
Experience using HR and corporate systems, including Chris21, Objective and Microsoft Office applications, will be highly regarded.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 October 2026 with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
