- Generalist Teachers (Middle Years and Senior Years)

We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Teacher or Agricultural Educator who is passionate about practical learning and youth engagement.
Highly desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Experience teaching Agriculture or Rural Studies
- Experience delivering Certificate II in Rural Operations is highly desirable.
- TAE40122 (or equivalent) Trainer and Assessor qualification
- Experience working with disengaged or at risk young people
- Willingness to obtain vocational qualifications if not currently held
- Queensland teacher registration (or eligibility to obtain registration)
This role provides a unique opportunity to combine practical agriculture, hands on learning, and relationship based education to help students reconnect with learning and develop pathways into employment and further training. About the Role: Generalist Teacher Positions
We are also seeking enthusiastic and flexible teachers to deliver engaging learning programs across Middle Years and Senior Years.
Successful applicants will
- Hold Queensland teacher registration (or be eligible to obtain registration)
- Be committed to supporting students who have experienced barriers to learning
- Demonstrate solid relationship building skills
- Be willing to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Embrace differentiated learning and individualised student support
Salary range: Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications, registration status, experience and the specific role being applied for. Registered Teacher salary range is currently $84,000 to $116,700. About Us The Burnett Youth Learning Centre is a registered Special Assistance School (SAS), affiliated with Independent Schools of Queensland, situated on a 28-hectare farm just south of Bundaberg, Queensland.
We are a Christian response to a local need, supporting young people who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. Qualifications & Experience
- Queensland teacher registration (or eligibility to obtain registration)
- Industry experience in Agriculture/Rural Operations (essential for Agriculture applicants)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or willingness to obtain (highly desirable for Agriculture applicants)
- Experience supporting disengaged or at risk young people
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to working within a Christian values based environment
