/n Assistant in Nursing /n /n About Us: /n Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, have two facilities, Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge and we are seeking Assistants in Nursing to join our clinical team on a part-time or casual basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing accurate documentation, and maintaining a caring and empathetic attitude towards residents. /n /n About the Role: /n /n We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistants in Nursing (AIN’s) to join our team. As an AIN, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and contributing to the overall comfort and well-being of residents under the guidance of our registered nurses.

- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

/n

- Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and general well-being

/n

- Support registered nurses in providing high-quality care

/n

- Maintain resident records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards

/n

- Assist in resident mobility and positioning

/n

- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families

/n





- Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe workplace for residents and staff

/n /n About You: /n /n We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual who is committed to providing the highest standard of care to our residents.

The successful candidate will have: /n /n /n

- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

/n

- Previous experience in residential aged care (preferred but not essential)

/n

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

/n

- Ability to work as part of a team

/n

- Ability to follow care plans and work in a fast-paced environment

/n

- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment

/n

- Current Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or willingness to obtain, in line with QLD aged care requirements

/n

- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
