About the role

As an integral part of the Airport Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering robust compliance frameworks, conducting audits and inspections, and working closely with regulators, tenants, contractors, and internal teams to uphold the highest safety and compliance standards. This role is central to ensuring the airport meets its obligations across aviation safety, environmental management, airspace protection, security, and emergency response, while supporting safe day-to-day airside operations.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain compliance with applicable airport legislation, regulations, approvals, and standards, including environmental obligations, airspace protection, building controls, and land-use provisions.

- Conduct routine aerodrome inspections in accordance with CASA requirements.

- Monitor and report the condition of runways, taxiways, aprons, grassed areas, markings, lighting, and airfield infrastructure.

- Undertake obstacle inspections within prescribed airspace both on and off airport.

- Ensure airport works are undertaken safely and in compliance with legislative and operational requirements.

- Enforce airside access, vehicle control, and security in line with regulatory requirements.

- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve compliance systems, registers, audit programs, and reporting frameworks.

- Identify regulatory and compliance risks and ensure these are considered in planning, development, and operational decision-making.

- Interface with regulatory authorities and government agencies in relation to audits, inspections, reporting, and approvals.

About you

You are a highly organised and safety-focused professional with experience operating in a regulated aviation or infrastructure environment. You bring strong judgement, attention to detail,



and confidence engaging with regulators and stakeholders in complex operational settings.

Essential Requirements to do the job

- Current Australian driver's licence.

Ability to obtain

- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

- Airside Driving Authority (ADA).

- Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate.

- Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate of Proficiency.

Desirable Experience

- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

- Qualifications or certification relevant to plant and equipment operation.

- Formal training in Occupational Health and Safety.

- Demonstrated experience in audit, compliance, reporting, and incident investigation within a regulatory environment.

- Solid document control and reporting capability.
